Our workshop
Our workshop is located in the heart of Central Macedonia and more specifically in the particular manufacturer’s home, in Europos, Kilkis. Although our instruments are available across Greece (and the world), we prefer to provide jobs locally to help our community. Even though it may keep us away from large urban centers, we believe that by keeping our operating costs as low as possible we ensure a fair price for our instruments without compromising on the materials we use, or time devoted to each one of them.
Our materials!
The materials we use have all passed quality control and are produced with environmentally friendly methods. Most of them grow in the area and some of them due to rarity, are imported from abroad. Some of them are: maple, spruce, mulberry, ebony, mahogany, etc.
Additionally, we use different type of bone materials for marquetry – decoration of musical instruments, gut strings (especially for the construction of ancient musical instruments) or plastic strings (for traditional Greek musical instruments like bouzouki and baglama).
Each new material that arrives at our workshop is used for experimental instruments and if their sound and condition prove credible, they pass on to the production line.
Extra choices
We work with special artists for the decoration of our sound boxes. On request it is possible to have a custom design with various visual elements detailed on parts of the soundbox.
